Individual and Group Interview data, additional qualitative data, individual and group clinical findings, individual and group clinical techniques and approaches used, activities descriptions, sample session plans, challenges and recommendations will be included in the final evaluation report, which should be available in September. - 100% reported satisfaction with the Amanecer services and staff
- 100% reported feeling that Amanecer services were worth taking kids out of class
- 100% reported witnessing positive changes in attitudes and behaviors in Amanecer participants
- 100% would like to have Amanecer or a similar program available in the future
41 students/clients filled out evaluation surveys.
- 97.5% reported experiencing positive feelings while in group (I felt "safe", "important", "included", "comfortable", "encouraged", "respected", etc.).
- 83% could name at least one personal strength (97.5% of regular attendees were able to name a strength)
- 39% had experienced past trauma.
- 81% of the clients who had experienced trauma reported that participating in group helped with trauma symptoms. (89% of regular attendees reported improvement.)
